Steph Curry scores a historic goal, and the Warriors keep getting better after the trade deadline.

Steph Curry scored another memorable goal on Friday, and the Golden State Warriors kept getting better on the court since the NBA trade deadline earlier this month.
Curry scored 20 points in Warriors’ 132-108 win over Sacramento Kings, becoming the 21st NBA player and first Golden State player to achieve 20 or more points in 700 games.
Curry made 20 points by making 7 out of 13 field goal tries. He made four three-pointers and both of his free throws and scored 20 points.

Bud Hield and Moses Moody both scored 22 points for the Warriors, and second-year guard Brandin Podziemski scored 21.
Friday’s win kept up Golden State’s progress after the trade deadline and their huge deal to get Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat.
As the Bay Area team tries to move up in the Western Conference standings, Butler has now helped them go 4-1. In their win over the Kings, the 35-year-old had 17 points, seven assists, and three rebounds of his own.
The Warriors are currently ninth in the conference, two and a half games behind the teams that can make the playoffs.
Curry also talked about how important the second part of the season is for the team after the NBA All-Star break.
“We need 27 games to make the playoffs.” With Jimmy on the team, we finished the first half of the break 3-1. “The Dallas game (Sunday) and tonight are huge to keep the momentum going going into this first stretch out of the break,” Curry told reporters after the win over Sacramento.
“So you don’t want to make it sound too good because, to be honest, every game is important. But from practice yesterday to shootaround this morning, we were pretty focused. There was a good energy, and we knew what we needed to do to win this game. Now we have to do it again because we lost it last week.” That’s why each game is important.
In other news, the Oklahoma City Thunder in the West and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the East both came back from the All-Star break with big wins on Friday. The Thunder beat the Utah Jazz 130–107, and the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the New York Knicks 142–105 for the win.
